Building a Profitable Blog Made Easy

Blogging has to be the easiest way for any person to own their own piece of web space quickly. This makes it perfect for beginners who are just starting out that want to make money online as fast as possible.

When it comes to creating a profitable blog, the first thing is to decide on the blog topic. What are you going to write about? Who do you want to read it? Do the readers interested in this topic have money to spend on products you recommend?

Once you've decided on your blog topic, you can go out and choose a blog platform. There are a bunch of free blog software platforms that are web based. This means you don't need a website of your own, they host the blog for you, which is perfect for beginner bloggers.

Popular free blogging platforms are Wordpress, Blogger and Typepad. I personally use and recommend Wordpress as they are quick and easy to use with heaps of cool hop-ups for them such as themes and plug ins to help improve search engine rank and visitor-friendlyness.

Next comes the monetization of your blog. You have to figure out how to make money from your blog. If you use blogger, you can display Google Adsense ads on there and get paid when someone clicks on the ads. Free Wordpress blogs don't allow Adsense ads but you can display banner ads and widgets that will pay you for clicks or pay you a commission when you refer a sale.

The most important thing is that your blog is targeted to a specific group of people and the ads or offers you display are targeted too. It can be on anything, just as long as there is good interesting content to keep readers there and coming back to it on a regular basis.
